Belly dance; also sometimes referred to as Raqs Sharqi is an Arabic expressive and artistic dance that originated in the Middle East. Through belly dance, you can train your muscles like no other activity can do, strengthen your core, develop flexibility and achieve graceful and fluid body coordination. 

Whether you are looking to start a new fitness regimen, learn a new dance style, or just want to try something different, this course is for you.

The Class will cover the following concepts:
-12hrs hours of training, Yoga & Body Conditioning as well as lectures on History of Bellydance.
- Body awareness and lectures on Human anatomy
- Guest workshops
- Certificate of Completion
- Choreographies and combinations
- Bellydance movement quality and techniques that one can use in order to make their own Choreographies

By the end of the course, you will understand the basic techniques of belly dance, ways to optimize the art form as a fitness regime, and choreography to different songs.

Hi, I am Madhu S Rao, a dancer and a performing artist based in Bangalore. I'm trained in various genres of Bellydance under multiple national and international artists. I was the Head instructor of a Bellydance troupe that was led by an international artist. Along this journey, I've had the privilege of traveling across the country for performances and workshops. Performing at Femina Miss India along with Nora Fatehi is one of my most memorable performances. Apart from bellydance, I've trained in jazz,ballet and contemporary. I am also a certified Yoga instructor from the Yoga Alliance US. Looking forward to sharing the joy of Bellydance together!
